We are currently seeking a part-time Finance Intern to work out of our Arlington, Virginia office who will support our Finance Officer in day-to-day accounting and administrative functions. Hours may be flexible, estimated initially for one to two days a week, subject to change.


  • Credit card history research and recording
  • Prepare Form 1099s for all vendors
  • Petty cash tracking 
  • Follow-up on missing vendor invoices
  • Long aging invoices research
  • Setting up binders and folders for 2018
  • Assist in preparation for upcoming audit
  • Filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks


  • Enrolled in Finance or Business degree program from an accredited institution or recent graduate
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within accounting/finance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (especially Excel)
  • Excellent planning, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Works well independently
  • Courteous, professional, diplomatic
  • Exercises a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS: Reaching above and below, stooping and bending.  Lifting/carrying/moving 1 to 15 pounds of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.  Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills.  Requires a high degree of concentration in a busy office environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Office environment.  Flexibility with hours is required.
