We are currently seeking a Construction Manager to lead a U.S. Corps of Engineer project in Bahrain. A secret level security clearance is required for this position. The duration of this project is anticipated to be 9 months, with 4.5 months in Arlington, VA and 4.5 months on-site in Bahrain.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:  The Construction Manager is responsible for the overall success, safety and timely completion of interior classified space in an existing U.S. Corps of Engineer building in Bahrain. This person will plan and manage project construction activities and schedules and provide technical consultation to project teams, government agencies and clients.


  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards
  • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
  • Minimizes AICI-SP’s exposure and risk on the project
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Manages project budget
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
  • Effectively communicates project information to superiors
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
  • Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties
  • Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager or President


  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have or be able to quickly obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance
  • 3-5 years of construction / project management experience
  • Experience working on interior construction (tenant or fit out)
  • Knowledge of scheduling and organization techniques
  • Experience working as the General Contractor on a classified project
  • Previous experience working with U.S. Government as client, preferably U.S. Corps of Engineers
  • Possess strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills
  • Must be willing to work overseas


  • International construction industry experience interacting with various diverse cultures

PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS:  Reaching above and below, stooping and bending.  Lifting/carrying/moving 1 to 15 pounds of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.  Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills.  Requires a high degree of concentration in a busy office environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Contract requires 6 days per week, 10 hours per day.  Schedules may be modified to better accommodate business needs. Flexibility with hours is required.
