PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Recruiter will be responsible for the recruiting function for AICI. This person will have the ability to create his/her own recruiting program to ensure AICI attracts and maintains strong qualified candidates for international and domestic opportunities. This person should have experience with international recruiting in the construction field. This position requires creativity, passion, and a strong work ethic to manage time sensitive deliverables. This role will be based out of our Arlington, VA office with regular communications with team members from our Cairo Regional Office in Egypt.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creatively source candidates through on-line applications, networking, employee referrals, industry-specific job boards, colleges and universities, and social media (including LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Facebook, etc.)
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify personnel needs, job specifications, qualifications, and skills
  • Create job descriptions and post to appropriate on-line resources
  • Develop passive candidate pipelines through networking, cold calling, internet searches, and various social media resources
  • Drive Company brand marketing to ensure a positive reputation in the market
  • Enter and track candidate information in database and ensure data is easily searchable and quick to access when needed
  • Screen candidates via phone or video calling to ensure candidates are qualified, interested, and available
  • Act as a point of contact for candidates throughout the recruiting process
  • Arrange travel, lodging, and meals for candidates who interview in Arlington
  • Extend and negotiate employment offers with candidates
  • Be very familiar with and able to explain Company benefits and answer any other questions a candidate may have
  • Ensure candidate has a positive experience with AICI during and after the recruiting phase
  • Work with and maintain strong professional relationships with internal management and staff, candidates, and external placement agencies
  • Represent Company at college career fairs or other job fairs, and assist in developing a recruiting and retention strategy for various positions

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 2 to 4 years experience as a Recruiter, with experience in the construction industry
  • Experience with HRIS or Recruiting databases to track candidate information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; communicates clearly and confidently
  • Must be able to multi-task and remain highly organized at all times
  • Courteous, professional, diplomatic and maintains a high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work and monitors own work to ensure highest quality
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Strong interpersonal skills - remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • International construction industry experience interacting with various diverse cultures
  • Previous experience working for a Government Contractor
  • Experience with website management
  • Experience with employer social media efforts

PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS:

Reaching above and below, stooping and bending.  Lifting/carrying/moving 1 to 30 pounds of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, small part shipments etc.  Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills.  Requires a high degree of concentration in a busy office environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Office environment.
